The California Cruisers Organization is dedicated to the advancement of our players both as student athletes and strong young women. Our goal is to teach our players important life lessons through the game of softball. The California Cruisers are committed to playing at the highest level. Our number one goal each year is to win Nationals. The Cruiser players are committed to continually developing their skills, contributing to our number one goal, and progressing to the collegiate level. Aligned with these goals is the staff's mission of providing the best in: DEVELOPMENT, EXPOSURE and COMPETITION.
DEVELOPMENT: The staff is committed to developing the complete softball player. Every player works on skill development in hitting, fielding, base running and mental approach. The expectation we set is "We" before "Me".
EXPOSURE: The California Cruisers play in many high exposure showcase tournaments each year and stay on the main fields. Our staff members have numerous personal relationships with many of the top college programs in the nation and have a reputation of providing those colleges with top-notch recruits. The Cruisers are always playing on the main fields. It is an expressed goal of the Cruisers teams to produce athletes that start as freshman.
COMPETITION: The Cruisers consistently finish near the top in competitive tournaments. In the last 15 years at ASA and PGF Nationals the Cruisers have one 1st place finish, four 2nd place finishes, and one 3rd place finish. The Cruisers finished in top 10 at PGF Nationals the last 5 years. The California Cruisers are one of only four Gold teams that have never failed to qualify for Nationals, also included in that achievement are the OC Batbusters, the So Cal Athletics, and the Corona Angels. The Cruisers have only finished lower than 10th one time in our long history. The ONLY team to hold that honor. In the prestigious Louisville Slugger Boulder tournament, the California Cruisers were also 2015 Co-Champions Team of New Jersey Summer Classic.
With over 20 years of travel ball coaching experience, Sievers is known as one of the best travel ball coaches in the country. His commitment to the program led the Cruisers to a third place finish in 2017 and a runner-up finish in 2016 at PGF 18U Premier Nationals.
